Seminar on Case Management in International Arbitration and Arbitrator Practice
MARC organised a seminar with Mr Niels Schiersing* on Wednesday 20 March 2019, at the seat of MARC. Mr Schiersing elaborated on how to improve Case Management in International Arbitration which is crucial for conducting efficient arbitrations. He then gave career advice on Establishing and Building a Practice as an Arbitrator.
Our interactive audience consisted mainly of Barristers, Attorneys and other leading practitioners in international arbitration.
*Mr Niels Schiersing is dual-qualified as an advokat in Denmark (with right of audience before the Supreme Court) and as a solicitor of England and Wales. Currently located in Dubai, Mr Schiersing is a member of the Arbitration Chambers (with offices in Hong Kong & in London) and divides his time between Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Mr Schiersing serves as arbitrator and legal expert in domestic and international commercial arbitration, construction and infrastructure arbitration, energy arbitration, commercial chancery arbitration as well as investment arbitration. Mr Schiersing has served/is currently serving as arbitrator, often presiding arbitrator/chairman, as well as emergency arbitrator appointed by the ICC, LCIA, SIAC, HKIAC, SCC, DIFC-LCIA, DIAC, AFSA, FAI and DIA amongst others.
