Regionalization of Arbitration in Africa: Perspective of Three Arbitration Centers (MARC, CAG, CIMAC)

Ms Dipna Gunnoo (Head of MARC) spoke on the panel "Regionalization of Arbitration in Africa: Perspective of Three Arbitration Centers (CAG, CIMAC, MARC)" during the Paris Arbitration Week at a Kluwer Arbitration/ Association Française d'Arbitrage event hosted by Bird & Bird on 2 April 2019.
The following topics were discussed:
- The promotion of African diversity and local talent (including the issue of training and familiarization with arbitration)
- The advantages of using African arbitration institutions (particularly in comparison to ad hoc arbitration)
- Solutions implemented regionally (example of the "Indian Ocean Business Bridge" platform in particular)
