MARC Proudly Hosted a Hearing Before the Privy Council for the Second Time
On 17 July 2019, the MCCI Arbitration and Mediation Center (MARC) hosted for the second time a hearing before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council (JCPC). Counsel for both parties represented their clients via videoconference from the modern and sophisticated MARC hearing room in the heart of Port-Louis.
The case was brought before the JCPC, composed of five Justices namely, Lord Kerr, Lord Carnwath, Lady Black, Lady Arden and Lord Sales.
MARC provided both parties with all facilities and IT equipment required to successfully enable them to connect with London and argue their case efficiently during the morning and afternoon sessions before the Law Lords.
This groundbreaking service was first launched a few months ago, in April 2019, when MARC hosted the hearing for the State of Mauritius v CT Power case, before the JCPC.
